US Army Sgt. Patrick Zeigler will be at the exhibit 3-4 hours a day to meet visitors and share his story of military service and recovery.

A Long, Hard Recovery  From Fort Hood Shooting

When a traumatic brain injury hits home, it gets a lot of attention at first, but that attention fades with time.

But for those directly affected, the reality of brain injury grows, as does the resolve to deal with it.

For Army Staff Sgt. Patrick Zeigler and his wife, Jessica, recovery from the Nov. 5, 2009, shootings at Fort Hood continues all day, every day.

He’s had 31 months of full-time, acute care and rehabilitation at 10 hospitals in five states. They feel as if hospitals are their home. Read the entire story…
