Judith Sandoval’s exhibit A Warrior Talks with the Boots of Dead Iraq and Afghanistan Warriors is part of a group show at the Live Worms Gallery in San Francisco. Judith captures Denny Riley’s personal moments as he talks to the boots at the Eyes Wide Open: The Cost of War to California exhibit.
Eyes Wide Open, is the American Friends Service Committee’s widely-acclaimed exhibition on the human cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The exhibit features a pair of empty boots honoring each US military casualty.
Judith Sandoval is a dedicated photographer who documents Veterans For Peace events. Denny Riley has written articles on Agent Orange. Both Judith and Denny are VFP, Chapter 69 members.
